First take a look at this website. Scroll down to “Is Common Core Related to Student Data Mining” and read down to Jane Robbins “15 minute crash course on Common Core’s connection with student data mining” and watch that video. Keep in mind the described “states building of matching and interoperable State Longitudinal Database Systems or 50 linkable, twinlike State Longitudinal Database Systems (SLDS)”.

These websites shows that the state of NH does have a Longitudinal Database System (SLDS):

This PDF file shows all of the data collecting “tools for making use of data” that the DOE has. Especially notice the last box “And More…” on how they share data:
http://www.education.nh.gov/data/documents/tools.pdf
We also use data in other ways…
– Sharing data with Researchers
– Providing Reports to Legislators
– Working with Other States (New England Secondary
School Consortium)
Here’s NH’s grant application for the SLDS grant:

This will show where NH is in securing state educational data – click on State Action 8 in particular:

NH is already part of the New England Secondary School Consortium and has been sharing data with 4 other New England States (ME, RI, CT, VT). NH is highly prized by the national initiative for a national education system and data collection since they have already started a database sharing information with these other states; they bragged about this in their grant applications. I believe this is why, when you look at the http://www.dataqualitycampaign.org/your-states-progress/ website, NH has achieved so many of its State Actions.

Notice in reading this link that:
“A comprehensive “college-readiness index” that takes into account academic, socioeconomic, and behavioral data is currently under development.”
