Right now the governor and the head of education for the state are at odds after the governor &#8220;flip flops&#8221; on Common Core.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Last month Governor Bobby Jindal backed legislation to repeal Common Core<\/strong>, but that measure failed. A small group of lawmakers will pursue the issue until the legislature adjourns in June with the backing of the governor.<\/p>\n<p>However the Chief Academic Officer for Bossier Schools says the higher standards will benefit students. Tom Daniel adds losing Common Core would be a financial lost for school districts across the state.
