{"id":1020,"date":"2014-10-18T22:35:34","date_gmt":"2014-10-19T02:35:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stopcommoncorenh.org\/sccnh\/?p=1020"},"modified":"2014-10-18T22:35:34","modified_gmt":"2014-10-19T02:35:34","slug":"hey-clueless-kuster-even-teachers-want-to-shut-down-the-u-s-dept-of-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stopcommoncorenh.org\/sccnh\/2014\/10\/18\/hey-clueless-kuster-even-teachers-want-to-shut-down-the-u-s-dept-of-education\/","title":{"rendered":"HEY, Clueless Kuster: Even Teachers Want to Shut Down The U.S. Dept. of Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Teachers around the country have been subjected to failed education reforms for decades. \u00a0Unelected bureaucrats at the U.S. Department of Education are now pushing another reform: Common Core.<\/p>\n<p>Common Core has been described as &#8220;an attack on teachers&#8221;. \u00a0 Why? \u00a0Because the U.S. Dept. of Ed is pushing test scores be tied to a teacher&#8217;s evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve seen this in NH with Governor Hassan&#8217;s Commissioner of Education, Virginia Barry walking lockstep and pushing this through the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.nh.gov\/teaching\/\"> Model Teacher Evaluations. \u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This kind of approach pushes the &#8220;teach to the test&#8221; mentality in the classroom and now we have <a href=\"https:\/\/stopcommoncorenh.org\/sccnh\/2014\/10\/18\/common-core-in-nh-its-a-disaster\/\">NH teachers<\/a> speaking out and <a href=\"https:\/\/stopcommoncorenh.org\/sccnh\/2014\/10\/17\/manchester-nh-teacher-warns-parents-will-they-listen\/\">describing this harmful effect on students and public education.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you recall, <a href=\"https:\/\/stopcommoncorenh.org\/sccnh\/2014\/10\/13\/clueless-kuster-is-a-threat-to-nh-students-and-teachers\/\">Rep.
